Linking Streaming Video in Blackboard

Using the Permalink, not the Embed code, is the best practice for embedding Alexander Street Press videos into Blackboard 9.1.

1. Search for your video, clip or playlist in the Alexander Street Press databases. (You may use the links or Search Box on the homepage of this guide.)

2. Log in to Blackboard and click on the course in which you would like to add the link.

3. In your course, click on Content.

4. On the next page, click the Build Content drop-down menu and select Web Link.

5. Return to your Alexander Street Press video and click Embed/Link located under the video player.

6. Copy the Permalink that appears in the pop-up window.

7. Return to Blackboard and paste the link into the URL box.

8. Name your link and provide an (optional) description. Click submit.

9. You have now successfully linked to an Alexander Street Press film in Blackboard.
