How to set up an I-Share account

To set up an I-Share Account, use the link at the bottom of this box to access the form.  A Lewis picture ID is required in order to establish an I-Share Account.

We recommend the following steps in filling out the form.

     a.  For Desired Username, use the first part of your Lewis email address.

     b.  For Password, we recommend using your nine digit student ID number.

     c.  For Borrower ID (Barcode Number), use the barcode found on the back of your Lewis photo ID.

     d.  If no barcode is evident, you will need to visit the library and request a barcode..

     e. For "I-Share institution with which you are affiliated" choose Lewis University.

Library Catalog Search

Search books, journals, and DVDs owned by the Lewis University Library.

What you see is a basic search box for the book you want, which defaults to finding the book by keyword. You can use the dropdown menu, however, to search by title, author, and subject as well.. You will get access to both books in our circulating and reference collections, as well as our ebook collections, notably CARLI ebooks (to access CARLI ebooks see EBL sidebox instructions).

If Lewis does not have the book you are looking for, you can expand your search to all of the 86 I-Share libraries by using the dropdown menu to change "Local Catalog Only" to "All I-Share Libraries."

Reference Books

The reference books listings on this page are recommended for your research. These are found on the library first floor on the call numbers given in the catalog link.
