Graduate Student Resource Guide

Students Requiring Special Accommodations

If you have a disability that may require consideration by your instructor and you have not previously submitted documentation to the staff in the Leckrone Academic Resource Center (LARC), please contact them. It is recommended that this be accomplished by the second week of class. If you need accommodations for successful participation in class activities prior to your appointment in LARC, you should provide information in writing to your instructor that includes suggestions for assistance in participating in and completing class assignments. It is not necessary to disclose the nature of your disability. To view information regarding the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, please visit: http://www.lewisu.edu/welcome/adaAccommodations.htm  For more information about academic support services, visit the LARC website.

International Student Services

The Office of International Student Services (ISS) provides services and advocacy for international students. The ISS office offers assistance with USCIS (formerly the INS) procedures, particularly for visa status maintenance and employment options.
Additionally, it provides pre-semester orientation for new students, adjustment workshops for continuing students, and re-entry workshops for graduating students. The office also coordinates access for international students to both University and external resources, for insurance, banking, social security, and daily life needs.
