Students can check out the tripod for an initial loan period of two weeks, with one two-week renewal. The tripod cannot be loaned for longer than one month.
Per the equipment contract, if the tripod is not returned by 7 days after its due date, the item will be considered Lost.
Any student who returns a Lost tripod will be barred from loaning the tripod from the Library for one full semester beginning on the date of return. Students with current Lost loans may not loan any additional Library materials or equipment.
The tripod kit comes with the tripod and bag, a camera mount, and a phone mount. You are responsible for the tripod and all kit pieces. If any are missing or damaged, you will be charged replacement costs.
After returning the tripod, you only have to wait 1 day before you can loan it again.
We wait 1 day to ensure that other patrons have the chance to loan the tripod if they have been waiting. If the tripod is available the day after you return it, you can loan it again.
The kit contains the tripod, a camera mount, and a phone mount inside a bag. We recommend leaving one of the mounts on the tripod when not in use to avoid losing pieces.

Each knob, dial, and locking mechanism has a purpose. The first thing you want to do is get your tripod set up at the ideal height. Each leg has a few telescoping extensions with locks for each one. Make sure you close the locks again once you've got the tripod adjusted, or the whole thing could fall over.
Once the tripod is in place, you can attach a camera or phone. The mounts slide in place at the top of the tripod and lock with a lever. Make sure to lock the mount in place before attaching a camera or phone.
How do I attach a camera to the tripod?
To attach a camera, attach the camera mount. Simply line up the screw and the corresponding hole on the bottom of the camera and tighten.

How do I attach my phone to the tripod?
To attach your phone, attach the phone mount. Then, fit your phone into the adjustable holder.

If any piece of equipment is not working as expected, it is in your best interest to bring it back to the Circulation Desk as soon as possible. This ensures that you are not assumed at fault for any item damage (physical or technical).
Depending on the equipment, we may be able to swap pieces or parts to ensure it is in working condition. Otherwise, we will be able to help you get the equipment working as intended.
