New Lewis ID Numbers (Nuevo Numeros para los IDs de Lewis)

Lewis University recently made a change to every student, faculty and staff ID on campus.

Old IDs began with the number 2.

New IDs begin with the letter L.

As a result, you may need to update your barcode information (borrower ID) in order to request materials through the I-Share or Lewis VuFind library catalogs.

The instructions below explain how to fix it.

Update I-Share Accounts

Update your I-Share Account with your New Borrower ID:

Log on to your account in the catalog. On any of the Your Account pages, select "User Account," the bottom tab on the right.

In the Library Account Information section toward the bottom of the User Account page, enter your new barcode number (borrower ID).

Your borrower ID is your student or employee ID number with the numbers 24311 added at the beginning. For example, if my Lewis ID number is L10012345, my borrower ID will be 24311L10012345.

After you enter your new borrower ID, click submit. If you see "Changes were applied" at the top of the page, then you are all set. If not, please contact the Library Service Desk at 815-836-5300 for assistance.
