Immigration, Ethnicity, and Race in the U.S. is designed to provide history majors with a historical research experience to prepare them for the history senior capstone. For the general student the goal is to provide research experience to discover how broader historical forces influenced the migration of groups and individuals to the United States.

The centerpiece requirement of the course is a 7-8 page paper dealing with a particular group on a particular theme.
