Welcome to Lewis University! This is an introductory orientation to Lewis Library and the many services we offer!

Study Room & Pod Checkout

STUDY ROOMS FOR 2 OR MORE PEOPLE. PODS FOR 1 PERSON ONLY
  • The Library has four study rooms and four study pods available for student use
  • You can book rooms:
    • by using one of the iPad kiosks located on both floors (first-come, first-served)
    • in-person at the Service Desk (first-come, first-served)
    • up to one week in advance using our online calendar service: Reserve a Study Space
  • If you book online, simply check in at the Service Desk for the room key or pod door hanger
  • When you check out a room, you will have full access to the AV equipment and whiteboard (dry erase markers available to check out).

Policy Notes:

  • Group study rooms can only be used by groups with a minimum of two (2) students
    • other group study spaces include tables downstairs or on second floor surrounding balcony area
  • Individual study pods can only be used by one (1) student
    • other individual study space are located throughout the Library, including a quiet zone on the second floor 
  • You must provide proof that you are a student with your Lewis ID!
  • Each university student can book a total of three hours per day for one study room
  • Study rooms need to be vacated 15 minutes before the library closes.
  • When you book a room using your Lewis ID, you take responsibility for the room
  • When you leave the room, ensure all chairs are pushed in, AV equipment is turned off, the fan and lights are turned off, and you have cleaned the general area
  • If you have any questions or issues with a study room, please speak with Library Staff at the Service Desk
