Research Consultations

Research Consultations

(BY APPOINTMENT OR DROP-IN: YOU ARE WELCOME AT ANY TIME!) :)

What is a research consultation and why would I want one?

A research consultation is a meeting (either virtual or face to face) with a research librarian to help you find sources for projects/papers requiring research.

I already know what I’m doing, how would a Research Consultation benefit me?

  • A research librarian will help you explore your idea to see how it will work for your assignment
  • Research librarians will help ensure your research is on the right track
  • A research librarian can serve as a soundboard for your ideas to help you focus on a singular topic

Research Librarians can assist with the following common snags (and more):

  • Already have a solid idea but just need more resources?
  • Stuck and unable to find resources when you know there is a lot of information?
  • Google is giving lots of results, but your professor doesn’t like the articles or they aren’t credible?
  • Not sure about your exact topic, but you have a general idea?
  • Not sure what resources you need for an assignment?

Have your sources, now you need help with writing your paper?

The Writing Center can help you!
