Brother Jeffrey Gros, FSC (1938-2013) was a dedicated Christian Brother for fifty-eight years. A prolific writer in the areas of Christian unity and ecumenism, he edited and authored eighteen books and 310 articles, as well as writing hundreds of book reviews, many of which can be retrieved through the ATLA religion database.
Brother Jeffrey taught theology at the then Lewis College from 1966-1967, and was scholar-in-residence at Lewis University from 2011-2013. Other assignments in which he ministered included the National Council of Churches, Bronx, NY (1981-1982), the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (1993-2005), Memphis Theological Seminary (2005-2009), and the Franciscan School of Theology (2009-2010).
This tribute by Timothy Lim was published in the Journal of Ecumenical Studies in the fall of 2013.
