Interlibrary Loan and I-Share

What is Interlibrary Loan?

Interlibrary Loan (more commonly known as ILL) is a way to share resources between libraries. You have access to books, articles, and other items that are not available through Lewis' collection or any of the I-share libraries. If Lewis Library does not own something that you are looking for, you can request it through ILL, and we will send your request to other ILL libraries. If the item you request is available, it will be sent to us either through the mail or email for electronic copies.

What is I-Share?

Lewis University Library is part of a consortium of 86 libraries in Illinois that allow their students to borrow materials from each other. If Lewis doesn't have an item you are looking for, you can look to see if any of the other I-Share libraries have it, and you can borrow it through them. Look at our "I-Share" page for more information.
